Party Planning on a Budget

Hello lovely people and welcome to my first official post of the new year! This time of the year is all about setting goals and trying new things. One of my goals, and many other people’s, is to save money. Saving money is easy in theory, however, in practice it’s a little harder. When on a budget many people seem to think that they have to sacrifice quality. This is not the case!

Living on a college budget has taught me a thing or two about getting creative when it comes to decorating and hosting an event. In this post, I’m going to be sharing some great tips and trick for all my frugal friends out there.

DIY Confetti balloons

All you need for this chic craft is balloons and confetti, both which can be picked up at your local Dollar Store. I suggest using clear and/or white balloons for this craft. Fill the deflated balloon with confetti and then blow it up. You can either shake the balloon up so the confetti clings to the sides or leave the confetti at the bottom. Either ways these balloons are a simple, yet compliment worthy decoration.

Tassel Garland

This is a great decoration that can be made to match any color pallet. All this DIY takes is tissue paper, string, and a little time. If you haven’t already, check out my post all about making these awesome tassel garlands!CLICK HERE

The Dollar Store is a great one stop shop for all party decor ideas. There are so many things you can use to make fun DIYs. There are also tons of cheap table cloths, plates, napkins, etc., to match your parties theme.

As far as food goes, here are a few recipes that are quick, easy, and cheap!
